KELLY O.

We stopped for one night on the journey from Karumba to Cobbald Gorge. What a surprise it was. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped but the hospitality was amazing. The restaurant was closed fir the evening, but a BBQ was put on with an array of meats, salads and apple crumble for dessert. A free "easter" drink from the bar was a lively touch. Then an Easter egg on check out. Well done!

Very pleasant hosts and clean and comfortable room with full fridge and electric frypan. Spacious room including separate study. Car washing facility and laundry and drying area appreciated. Restaurant was open on the Sunday night we were there.

MCCORQUINN

This was a very convenient stop-over point between Atherton and Karumba and our first time in Georgetown. The town has a surprisingly (to me) seriously good attraction, namely the Ted Elliott Mineral Collection in the very modern and imposing Terrestrial Visitor Centre. However the only restaurant in town for our 2-day stay was at the Latara and their meals were fresh, tasty, plentiful and nutritious.
